Castle Tyrol is a symbolic icon of Tyrol. Towering over Merano, it was once home to the Counts of Tyrol and is today the South Tyrolean Cultural History Museum. The exhibition‘s course depicts the history of Tyrol from the early origins of the castle, through the Middle Ages.
