Lagundo, also known as a “garden village”, can be found sprawled on a hillside ranging between 330 and 1,500 m above sea level. Here we can feel the charm of the orchards and vineyards as well as the high alpine workd of the Tessa Nature Park. The amount of churches and chapels is not the only characteristic of Lagundo as it is closely situated next to the town-resort of Merano. However, the town doesn‘t compare to the village when it comes to sheer flora diversity. We undertake a small foray into the village beginning at the top where traces of Romans can be found and then on through the forest to mysterious places. Last but not least, a stroll through the village itself
