Narano is located in the north east of Tesimo at 650 m a.s.l. and it extends on the right side of the road to Passo Palade. Some 200 people live in this village, which by the way boasts a particular place of interest, which is the St Hippolytus Church. The hill of St Hippolytus is one of the most important prehistoric settlements of South Tyrol, the history of settlement of this site already started in the Neolithic Age.
The church itself dates back to the 12th century and boasts some of the best preserved frescoes of South Tyrol. And in addition, from this place you can enjoy a fabulous view on the Val d'Adige, the Monte di Mezzo of Tesimo and many castles. From the St Hippolytus hill you can also walk to the pond of Narano, which is idyllically located. Close to the pond, there is a climbing garden.
