Scena is located at an altitude of 600 m a.s.l.. The ancient Maria Assunta and the new parish church, the church consecrated to S. Martino and the hill on which these sacred buildings have been built can considered to be the symbol of the village. However, also the mausoleum of Scena, situated next to the parish church, is one of the main attractions in the village. This is where the archduke Johann with his wife is sepulchred, on his own request. Also Castel Scena and Castel Thurn are only a stone’s throw away from the centre, which has been established round Piazza Raiffeisen.
Swimming in the outdoor pool, a bowling match, a match on the miniature golf course or a tennis match, Scena offers many possibilities for leisure time activities. For a pleasant promenade we recommend you the Roggia di Rifiano, Roggia Caines or Scena.
Scena also offers a series of events that attract an international audience, such as the Südtirol Classic Oldtimer Rallye, in the frame of which old-timer excursions across the region with start in the centre of the village are staged.
