The village of Naturno, located at 600 m a.s.l., is the centre of the municipality and boasts some particularly interesting monuments that are really worth visiting. One of these sights is the San Zeno Parish Church, a Romanesque building, which probably was built around 1,200. An absolute must-see is the S. Procolo Church, one of the most important historic and artistic monuments of South Tyrol and one of the main art treasures of Central Europe, boasting frescoes of the 14th century. By the way, next to the church there is a museum dedicated to San Procolo.
A jaunty afternoon can be spent in the adventure pool Acquavventura of Naturno, offering a 75 m long water slide. Also a visit to the nature park visitors' centre, true to the motto „from water to light“, providing entertainment and instructional information both for adults and kids.
For hikes in higher-located regions, take the Unterstell Cable Car: from its mountain station at 1,300 m a.s.l. you can easily reach the Alta Via di Merano high path. The area of Patleid, also within easy reach, is by the way popular with hang-gliders. Also the panoramic trail “Sonnenberger Panoramaweg“ is a very popular path.
