Alpin Arena Senales

Short waits, ski slopes for every level as well as crystal clear mountain air, these are the main characteristics of the Alpin Arena Senales

Skiing on a mountain of 3,000 metres, an everyday activity in Val Senales! The new cable car takes skiers from Maso Corto comfortably up to the Grawand mountain station, where the Grawand glacier hotel, the highest hotel in Europe, is located at 3,212 metres a.s.l.. This is where skiing fun begins, surrounded by a great panoramic view as well as crystal clear alpine mountain air. The offer in this glacial skiing area includes almost 30 km of well-groomed ski slopes, the 8 km long valley run "Schmugglerabfahrt", 11 state-of-the-art lift facilities and it gives variety, both to beginners and experts. The new cable car, with a cabin capacity of 80 people, was opened at the end of 2023.

Snow is guaranteed from September/October to May. Professional alpine ski teams also train on the glacier and prepare for the season here. In the summer months, the cable car is in operation in order to ferry up hikers and people that would like to admire the stunning view from the top of the glacier.

Also the little ones feel at ease in this skiing area, thanks to practice lifts and the Tiroli's Kinderland, where children can play with their mates and at the same time learn how to ski. Moreover the skiing area comprises a 3.3 km long toboggan run. For snowboarders a Funpark is available in the skiing area. The Lazaun cross-country ski track and the Hochjoch high-altitude track on the glacier complete the winter offer of the Alpin Arena Senales. A popular highlight at the mountain station is the Iceman Ötzi Peak, a spectacular viewing platform with panoramic views stretching up to the Ötztal Alps.
