A round trip through the Merano vineyards and fruit orchards – enjoy the Burgraviato in all its beauty
Image gallery: Spring walk in the area of Labers
Our starting point of this comfortable spring walk is the junction of the St. Valentin Road and the land road no. 8 to Scena. On the western side of the road a farm track turns off, which proceeds uphill through the vineyards. The path reaches the Labers Road and we proceed towards Labers Castle.
Immediately behind the castle the path no. 2B starts, which proceeds along the edge of the forest to the hermitage in the Val di Nova valley. After our visit to the little chapel we walk back a bit and take the upper path after the bridge (marker “Hafling/Avelengo”). The promenade first leads through the broadleaf forest and reaches blooming apple orchards. We follow the asphalted road towards Merano until we reach again the farm track which we walked along at the beginning of our tour.
Here we walk downhill through the vineyard towards the S. Valentino Church which is located amidst the small valley, surrounded by fruit trees. Like this our circular spring walk through the area of Labers near Merano ends.
