The Cure Promenade is the most traditional promenade of Merano, and runs along the southern side of the city theatre and the Kurhaus

The Cure Promenade (Kurpromenade) starts at the Ponte della Posta bridge and snakes its way along to Passirio river up to the Ponte del Teatro bridge. There the Cure Promenade proceeds as Passirio Promenade (Passerpromenade). On the opposite riverside there is Piazza della Terme with the entrance to the thermal baths of Merano. In the east the Cure Promenade proceeds as Winter Promenade and is perfectly integrated into the walking trail network of Merano.
As this promenade is a broad pedestrian zone it is perfectly suitable to stroll about. The city market garden provides for impressive flowerbeds and varied vegetation along the promenade. The wild riverbed running along the promenade is a real counterpart to the intensely nourished and cherished art nouveau course. Several times a year there are also thematic plantings. The origins of the Cure Promenade date back to the year 1800.
