Principally dogs are carried by public transport, if the necessary space is available so that other passengers are not disturbed.
Transport of dogs on buses and local trains:
Guide dogs and small dogs, which can be held in your arms or carried in a container with the dimensions of max. 70×30×50 cm, are transported for free.
If your four-legged friend does not fulfil these criteria, it has to be kept on a lead and must not take any seats. Furthermore your dog has to wear a muzzle and you have to pay for the transport.
Transport of dogs on cable cars:
If you and your four-legged friend want to crest also the highest peaks, mostly a cable car ride is necessary. Also dogs may hover upwards on the different lift facilities. Therefore it is required, that your companion wears a muzzle and iis kept on the lead. Normally dogs get a reduction on the ticket prices, some mountain railway operators transport your dog even for free.
