The Botanic Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle have been declared “one of the most beautiful botanic gardens of Italy” (2005) and are also considered to be one of the most amazing gardens all over Europe. Furthermore, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle received the “International Garden of the Year Award” at the “Garden Tourism Conference 2013″ in Toronto, Canada.

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle stay open every year from March resp. April to mid-November, closed in winter. Season start 2025 on the 1st of April.
In 2024, Trauttmansdorff will be accessible for the first time also in winter for the Light Park LUMAGICA, featuring interactive stations, light sculptures and a sound light show: It stays open from November 21, 2024, to January 6, 2025, every day (except on December 24) from 4.30 pm on.
