Merano Thermal Baths in detail

From Finnish saunas to apple-scented steam baths and Shiatsu, there is something for every taste at the Thermal Baths of Merano

Recreation, harmony and relaxation are among the main aims in the Merano Thermal Baths, featuring a total of 25 pools and a refined sauna area. Here you will find all you can wish for, from a refreshing cold plunge pool and hot whirlpools to relaxing brine pools. A special inside-outside feeling is provided in the big pool, where you can start indoors and simply swim out to a fascinating mountain scenery!

Cosy warmth and a unique flair are provided by a first-class sauna area. Here you may relax, unwind and sweat while contemporaneously boosting your immune system. Among the state-of-the-art facilities are a Finnish sauna, two steam baths, a sanarium, hay bath, caldarium and an outdoor log cabin sauna. After taking the sauna you can look forward to several cold dips and a very special way of cooling off - in the snow room, where you feel like being in the midst of South Tyrol's eternal glaciers.

What about pampering both your body and soul with one of the Feel-Good Baths? In 26 treatment rooms you can indulge in the most different kinds of baths, from milk and honey baths to vinotherapy baths for two and oh so relaxing mountain pine baths. This is the place to relax, this is the place to unwind. Already the Romans knew about the advantages of hydrotherapy, which is also provided at the thermal baths of Merano. Moreover, they offer anti-inflammatory fango packs and radon inhalations as well as oil and relaxation massage treatments, using mountain hay, cold stones or hot lava stones.

The green heart of the Merano Thermal Baths is a stunning park, covering an area of more than 50,000 sqm. 478 different kinds of roses, 900 water lilies and historic old trees render the park a wonderful spot and the ideal place to relax. Moreover, you can look forward to a health and bathing trail with a thermal spring pool, flowing current channel, hot and cold pools and a Kneipp pool as well as many other special features including a subterranean steam bath, waterfall, rock geyser, power showers and much more.

A state-of-the-art fitness centre completes the offer. These are the Merano Thermal Baths, a place to unwind in the middle of rich green meadows and trees and to enjoy the Italian "dolce vita"!
