For the Val Senales, the 2,887 m high Cima Stotz is a relatively small mountain

The Cima Stotz in the Oetztal Alps is located in the Val Senales, strictly speaking in the long east ridge of the Cima Ramudla. Except the last passage, the ski tour on the Cima Stotz is a rather easy tour and can be done in about 4 hours.
Initially the ski tour takes across wide fields and towards the end across steep forests. As the villages of the Val Senales are, however, located rather high, the altitude difference is relatively moderate. The 6-10 km long tour starts at the Köflhöfe farmsteads at 1,926 m a.s.l. On the orographic right side of the Val Senales, the trail no. 5 leads to the entrance of the Val di Lagaun and into this valley. Once reached the timberline, a little valley branches off and takes you to the summit of the Cima Stotz (Stotz in German). The last passage is rather steep.
Once the summit is reached, you can enjoy the great panoramic view on the mountains of the Val Senales, up to the summit of the Monte Similaun.
