No matter if you prefer classical music, rock, pop, jazz, blues or chamber music, Merano and surroundings are able to satisfy every taste in music by offering several music events taking place the whole year round. One of the particular highlights are the Merano Music Weeks at the end of summer, founded in 1986 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the town. LanaLive, however, animates in May the music scene in the homonymous village. The most different places and corners in the village are venue for high-quality concerts, including blues, jazz, swing and Latin as well as local folk music.

Also the Garden Nights at Castel Trauttmansdorff are popular music events. In front of the magnificent backdrop of the Botanic Gardens, between July and August, every two weeks, a number of world music concerts take place. Those who prefer down-to-earth rather than world music are invited to listen to one of the concerts by local music groups.
