More than 80 exhibitors in Merano offers Christmas atmosphere combined with numerous ideas and incentives for tempting Christmas presents. Pieces of arts or wood, cloth, glass and various materials make you think of Advent, offer protection from the cold and are useful in everyday life or in your leisure time. Artisans show their handicraft and sell their products directly at the market.
Several Mediaeval market booths offer special beverages and dishes, such as honey wine and grilled buckwheat dumplings, "Schlossbeck Dinnede" with onions and speck as well as potato slices with truffles.
Another market booth includes a fairytale-like offer: nutcrackers, Christmas pyramids, Christmas tree decorations and candle arches made of various materials.
Of course in Christmas time the city is solemnly decorated. In the dark candles, torches and light festoons are more than brilliant. Romantic atmosphere wherever you go, soft Christmas music and happy people all over.
