Description
On 21 September, the festively decorated cows return to the valley from their summer retreat on the Lazins Alm. Headdresses made from magnificent flower arrangements adorn the returning summer guests, who are admired by numerous spectators. Various Passeier specialities are available to eat.
11 a.m. start of the traditional cattle drive, starting at the Lazinser Alm.
At around 12 a.m. the cattle are ceremoniously driven through the village of Pfelders/Plan to the festival site, where the shepherds' festival takes place.
Shepherd's festival:
From 11 a.m.: atmospheric start with musical entertainment by the Bohemian music of Walten
From 2.30 p.m.: the festival continues with the music group "Duo Bergkristall", accompanied by atmospheric performances by the "Stuller Schuhplattler" and the "Passeirer Goaslschnöller".
From 1 p.m.: competitions at the Passeirer "Ranggeln" Championships
