Rhododendrons and alpine herbs

On this hike we get to know the rusty red alpine rose and the diversity of mountain herbs. The habitats of the individual plants change from dry stone walls, meadows and alpine pastures, to forests and rocky locations. Every single plant has a story to tell us. Birgit and Elisabeth, our hiking guides and biologists of the National Park, will take you on a journey of discovery to small natural paradises, which have been preserved until today.

Duration:5-6 hours
You need: Outdoor clothing, backpack (with spare clothes, rain jacket, snacks and drinks), hiking boots
Difficulty: Moderate
During the hike: Break at a rustic hut
Shuttle bus: Free transport by shuttle bus from S. Valburga in Val d’Ultimo to the starting point and back. Departure at 9:00 AM from S. Valburga (Tourist Office). The shuttle will make the same stops as the public transport service. When booking, please indicate your chosen stop.
